Army Reserve leader visits SOUTHCOM as part of Private Public Partnership efforts

By Raymond Sarracino U.S. Southern Command

The visit was conducted in an effort to solidify and enhance U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) support to USSOUTHCOM.

A roundtable discussion was held with USSOUTHCOM Directorate leadership to ensure USAR is aligned to support the USSOUTHCOM mission.

The visit also included a collaborative discussion about Private Public Partnership (P3O) with leadership.

P3O is a new initiative focused on supporting combatant command requirements.

Recently, a P3O partner committed to collaborating by providing multiple pallets of medical supplies for the USSOUTHCOM’s Continuing Promise 2017 mission in Latin America.

Erin Thede, Director of Private Public Partnership introduced Steve Caceres, the newest member of the P3O team.

Caceres will be the focal point for bringing P3O solutions to USSOUTHCOM requirements.

He will also collaborate and work closely with the Army Reserve Engagement Team (ARET) here at USSOUTHCOM.

The visit concluded with a town hall and question and answer session with Army Reservists led by Austin.
