BURLINGTON, Vt. –
Ten service members from the U.S. Army and Air Force reserve components train in Vermont from July 18 to 24 to prepare for the 2021 Interallied Confederation of Reserve Officers Military Competition (CIOR MILCOMP), an annual competition among NATO and Partnership for Peace nations.
Established in 1957, the competition is internationally recognized and focuses on advanced military skills that truly challenge the leadership and physical robustness of reserve forces. U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers compete annually. Events include pistol and rifle shooting, a land obstacle course, utility swimming, and orienteering with additional tasks such as range estimation, map reading and hand-grenade throwing.
