SW Asia –
Congratulations to the Soldiers from the 387th Medical Logistics Company as they complete their deployment to Southwest Asia. While deployed, the 387th MLC supported Operation Spartan Shield, Operation Inherent Resolve, and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel Role I, Role II, and Role III hospital centers under the 3D MCDS (FWD) from November 2019 to August 2020.
In addition, they supported theater class VIII supplies and maintained and serviced medical equipment (Ventilators, oxygen, etc.) to function as a hospital to render care to service members, casualties, in response to daily missions/operations and COVID-19 response.
The total scope of the 387th MLC during deployment consisted of managing $45 million in class VIII medical supplies, transporting 1.2 million pounds of freight, repairing over 4,100 pieces of medical equipment, and fabricated 3,400 pieces of eyewear.
This was the first deployment for the 387th and I am proud to recognize my Soldiers accomplishments, said Capt. Dontavius Logan, commander of the 387th Medical Logistics Company.
Logan added, successfully meeting the distribution needs of medical supplies, conducting critical medical equipment maintenance and optical fabrication for theater-wide medical operations, while responding to COVID-19 is something these Soldiers and the 3d Medical Command (Deployment Support) can be proud of.
