Combined American and Chadian medical exercise concludes

Laysa Nogueira, an operating room specialist (68D), right, both assigned to the 402 Forward Resuscitative Surgical Detachment (FRSD) work with a Chadian Armed Force [Forces Armées Tchadiennes] general surgeon and nurse to dissect the tibial plateau before removal of hardware June 19, 2024 during the Medical Readiness Exercise (MEDREX) at the Garnison Military Hospital in N'Djamena, Chad. MEDREX is a medical readiness exercise program, planned and executed by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), that allow military health professionals from the U.S. and their African partners to exchange medical practices, procedures and techniques that build and strengthen treatment capabilities, resulting in lasting relationships between the partners.
