The Solution Sandstorm: 75th U.S. Army Reserve Innovation Command crystallizes partnerships during Project Convergence
Cyber security plays a pivotal role in safeguarding frontier technology tested during Project Convergence Capstone 4, a U.S. Army hosted experiment that enabled warfighters from the United States and partner nations to evaluate advanced systems that support multidomain operations. The 75th U.S. Army Innovation Command supported the need for digital defense by including cyber security experts on their team of technical experts who took part in PC-C4. U.S. Army 1st Lt. Omega Marks (left), innovation officer for the Huntsville Detachment, 75th USARIC, and U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Christopher Wright (right), noncommissioned officer-in-charge for the Huntsville Detachment, 75th USARIC, offered their cyber expertise to several defense partners who tested their unmanned aerial systems across the deserts of Fort Irwin, Calif. Marks and Wright provided detailed insight on how the designers and end users can better maintain their technological edge on the battlefield by denying the enemy opportunities to exploit these cutting-edge systems against friendly forces.
