63rd Readiness Division HHD hosts inaugural Army Heritage Day event
Brig. Gen. Andree Carter, deputy commanding general, 63rd Readiness Division recites the 1943 activation speech of Maj. Gen. Lewis E. Hibbs, the first commanding general of the 63rd Infantry Division, during the unit’s inaugural Army Heritage Day event held June 11, 2021 at the Sgt. James Witkowski Armed Forces Reserve Center in Mountain View, Calif. 63rd Soldiers and civilians recognized the heritage and history of their unit with a unit run and a formal ceremony that included music performed by the 63rd RD’s own 191st Army Band.
