U.S. Army Reserve Spc. Timothy Lowitzer, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, and civil affairs specialist with the 1001st Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Company, assembles an M249 squad automatic weapon during the first day of the 2021 U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) Best Warrior Competition at Fort Jackson, S.C., April 7, 2021. The USACAPOC(A) BWC is an annual competition that brings in the best Soldiers across USACAPOC(A) to earn the title of “Best Warrior.” BWC tests the Soldiers’ individual ability to adapt and overcome challenging scenarios and battle-focused events, testing their technical and tactical skills under stress and extreme fatigue.
