Civil Affairs Soldiers deliver Christmas gifts, good cheer in Bucharest
After everyone left and gift-distribution finished here on Dec. 21, Roxana Sandu, Regional Leader, Salvation Army, Romania thanks Civil Affairs Team 3231, 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion, Green Bay, Wis., for the crucial role they played in Project Angel Tree. Through the combined efforts of Civil Affairs Team 3231, Office of Defense Cooperation, U.S. Embassy, 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, Army Support Activity-Black Sea, Area Support Group-Black Sea Staff, and other Service Members at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, not only did 125 children receive clothing and toys, the Salvation Army was able to surpass their overall goal and reached 300 kids this holiday season.
