Forward deployed Soldiers compete in the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge Combat Swim at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait on 20 Sept., 2020. The German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge is one of the few foreign awards authorized for wear on United States Army Soldier’s dress uniform. The German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB) basic fitness test includes a timed flexed-arm hang, a 12-kilometer ruck march carrying minimum of a 35-pounds, a 1,000 meter sprint, and 11 shuttle sprints at 10-meters.
