Former college athlete trades football helmet for Army combat helmet

Javiere Mitchell, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialist and former outside linebacker for the Auburn College football team, assigned to 1st Platoon, 318th Chemical Company, 490th Chemical Battalion, 209th Regional Support Group, 76th Operational Response Command, prepares thread to sew up some gear at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin Sept. 19.
