Washington DC - CH (MAJ) Ben Chitwood with the 3d Medical Command (Deployment Support) volunteered with the East Tennessee Honor Flight to accompany 21 Veterans (three WW2, four Korean War and 14 Vietnam War) to Washington D.C. to visit military memorials dedicated to their service. "One of the best moments of this trip was getting to accompany a 92 year old Marine WW2 veteran as he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown. He was so moved to have that honor," said Chitwood.
