Maj. Vic Aviles, G-3 operations officer for the U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division headquartered on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, addresses the audience as the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia hosts its third-annual Memorial Day remembrance ceremony May 23 at its headquarters to honor those men and women in uniform who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System. The institution holds a remembrance ceremony the Thursday before Memorial Day every year.
