ARMEDCOM bids farewell to outgoing commander; welcomes new leadership
Capt. William Bishop, right, presents a ceremonial artillery round casing to Maj. Gen. Mary E. Link, outgoing commanding general of Army Reserve Medical Command, during a change of command ceremony held in Pinellas Park, Florida on March 31, 2019. Link relinquished command to Maj. Gen. Jonathan Woodson, incoming commanding general for ARMEDCOM. The change of command ceremony symbolizes the continuation of leadership and unit identity despite the change of individual authority. It also represents the transfer of power from one leader to another; passing the ceremonial flag from outgoing to incoming commander is a physical representation of that transfer.
