ARMEDCOM and Winn Army Community Hospital: Building readiness for the total force
Sgt. Daisey Gonzalez, a combat medic assigned to 269th Armored Regiment, works with Sgt. Major Brown, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialist assigned to 83rd Chemical Bn., in the immunization section on Dec. 12, as part of the medical Soldier Readiness Processing mission at Mower Processing Center on Fort Stewart, Georgia. Functionally aligned to U.S. Army Medical Command, ARMEDCOM is uniquely capable of simultaneously providing military hospital and clinic expansion, augmentation, blood donor services, dental and veterinary services while remaining postured to provide assistance to civil authorities during an emergency or disaster. Medical personnel from Winn Army Community Hospital were key to ensuring ARMEDCOM units were equipped and ready to execute their training mission at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
