Maj. Gen. Troy D. Kok, outgoing commander, passes the colors to Maj. Gen. Scottie Carpenter, the Deputy Commanding General of U.S. Army Reserve Command, during the 99th Readiness Division change of command ceremony, Dec. 16 at Doughboy Gym, on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. Kok has been chosen to command the U.S. Army Reserve Accessions Task Force with the mission of helping the Army Reserve meet its end-strength personnel goals in order to remain the most capable, combat-ready and lethal federal reserve force in the nation’s history. This new task force will be headquartered at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
