Belanger was the keynote speaker for the event and attended with veterans from each of the service branches to include World War II veteran, Al Mampre, who served with the famed 101st Airborne Division’s Easy Company, 506th Infantry Regiment. Mampre’s unit story was featured on the mini-series “Band of Brothers”. Belanger participated in the panel discussion with veterans sharing their stories and answering questions from the students about service.
