Knowing the MP mission from brass to private
First Lt. Autumn Halstead (right), a U.S. Army Reserve executive officer, laughs along with fellow officers from the 11th Military Police Brigade's headquarters company as they take a break from the heat during a Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) at Fort Hunter Liggett, California, July 19, 2018. The other two officers pictured are 2nd Lt. Amy Kim (left), personnel officer, and 2nd Lt. Michael Preciutti, battle captain. During the exercise scenario, military police are responsible for a Theater Detention Facility to processes and secure up to 4,000 enemy prisoners of war and also manage a Detention Holding Area to house displaced civilians. Military police have a wide range of responsibilities during combat operations which also includes combat support and area security. This rotation of CSTX runs through the month of July.
