Army Reserve, UPS sign Private Public Partnership agreement
Maj. Gen. Troy D. Kok, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division, signs a memorandum of understanding with Stephen Culley, manager of United Parcel Service’s Bound Brook Division, during a ceremony Dec. 8 at the UPS facility in Hamilton, New Jersey. The memorandum encourages UPS to recruit, select and hire eligible Army Reserve Soldiers, family members and veterans. This signing supports the Army Reserve’s Private Public Partnership program, which establishes mutually beneficial relationships between the U.S. Army Reserve and private and public sector organizations to create opportunities for Soldiers to increase their readiness on the unit, leader, and individual levels, thereby enhancing their value to their families and communities and their readiness to protect and serve the American public.
