Hernandez, who is from Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, is a carpentry and masonry specialist assigned to the 471st Engineering Company, 448th Engineering Battalion, 210th Regional Support Group, based out of Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. The Army Reserve is part of the synchronized Federal emergency response system for immediate assistance.
