ARMEDCOM: changing lives; building readiness
Maj. Gen. Mary Link, commanding general for Army Reserve Medical Command, greets personnel working onsite at Fred and Anita Bruni Community Center from Gateway Health to receive patient data required for follow-on care and enrollment into their system. Approximately 125 U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers are working in partnership with the Texas A&M Colonias program to provide medical care to Webb County’s under-served Colonias population. Services provided by Army Reserve personnel are done through the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training, a civil-military program that builds mutually beneficial partnerships between U.S. communities and the DoD. The missions selected meet training & readiness requirements for Army Reserve service members while integrating them as a joint and whole-of-society team to serve our American citizens.
