A long way from home: Guam sentinels serve in Afghanistan
U.S. Army Spc. Michelle Mateo is deployed to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, as a customs agent for the base. She is assigned to the 368th Military Police Company, which is located on Guam, a 210-square-mile island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
