U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers, assigned to the 469th Medical Company-Ground Ambulance out of Wichita, Kansas, and Air Men, assigned to the 6th Medical Operations Squadron out of MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fl., transport casualties from the point of drop off to the Air Force expeditionary medical support tent at forward operating base Nighthawk in Camp Atterbury, In., April 29, 2017, as part of Exercise Guardian Response. Nearly 4,100 Soldiers from across the country are participating in Guardian Response 17, a multi-component training exercise to validate U.S. Army units’ ability to support the Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) in the event of a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) catastrophe. The 84th Training Command is the hosting organization for this exercise, with the training operations run by the 78th Training Division, headquartered in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
