Reserve soldiers participate in Operation Cold Steel
Army Reserve Spc. Tim Richard, a mechanic assigned to the 366th Engineer Company, based out of Canton, N.Y., sets the headspace and timing on an M2 .50 caliber machine gun in preparation for a firing exercise as part of Operation Cold Steel at Fort McCoy, Wis., on March 31, 2017. The engineer company is assigned to the 412th Theater Engineer Command which provides trained, ready and available Soldiers in support of the Army's mission at home and abroad. Operation Cold Steel is the U.S. Army Reserve’s crew-served weapons qualification and validation exercise to ensure that America’s Army Reserve units and Soldiers are trained and ready to deploy on short-notice and bring combat-ready, lethal firepower in support of the Army and our joint partners anywhere in the world.
