Operation Cold Steel 2017
U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Brandon Coffey and Spc. Benjamin Zachary, combat engineers with 366th Engineer Company, 412th Theater Engineer Command, earned a distinguished rating with a score of 992 out of 1,000 during Operation Cold Steel at Fort McCoy, Wis., March 25, 2017. Coffey and Zachary have scored the highest in gunnery since the exercise began March 8. Operation Cold Steel is the U.S. Army Reserve's crew-served weapons qualification and validation exercise to ensure that America's Army Reserve units and Soldiers are trained and ready to deploy on short-notice and bring combat-ready and lethal firepower in support of the Army and our joint partners anywhere in the world.
