US Soldiers share skills, expertise during medical exercise in Gabon
Sgt. Nicholas Bankston, an operating room technician with the 212th Combat Support Hospital, reviews x-rays during a medical readiness training exercise, known as MEDRETE 16-4, held from May 22 to June 10, at the Hopital D’Instruction Des Armees in Libreville, Gabon. The exercise is a combined effort between the Gabonese government, U.S. Army Africa, the 212th CSH and the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) from the U.S. Army Reserve. The exercise serves as an opportunity for U.S. and Gabonese forces to hone and strengthen their life saving skills as well as reinforce the partnership between both countries.
