Army Reserve memorial undergoing $197,000 refurbishment
The 14th Quartermaster Detachment Memorial located at the Army Reserve Center in Greensburg, Pa., is undergoing a $197,000 refurbishment that is due to be complete by the end of November. Reilly Construction, Inc. is set to replace the memorial’s concrete walls and sidewalks, polish and seal all statues and plaques, install new plants and shrubs, replace mulch with landscaping stones and replace old lighting with new Light-Emitting Diode (LED) fixtures. The project comes a few months before the 25th anniversary of the Iraqi missile attack that killed 13 of the detachment’s Soldiers in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm.
