New USAMU Soldier claims two World Cup medals, now seeks Olympic spot

FORT BENNING, Ga. - 2nd Lt. Amber English, an Army Reserve Soldier who received orders to the World Class Athlete Program, was recently assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning, Georgia to continue her training in skeet shooting, and possible journey to the 2020 Olympics. Shortly after Army Basic Training, English claimed a Bronze Medal in the April World Cup in Changwon, South Korea and then in June, she seized a Silver Medal at the Siggiewi, Malta World Cup.
