Army Reserve Ambassador W. Roger Layman retired from the Army after completing 39 years of service. Mr. Layman was promoted to Sergeant Major in August 1998 and graduated from the Sergeants Major Academy in July 2002. The last two years, prior to retirement, Ambassador Layman was mobilized in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He also retired from the Army Civil Service Program after 37 years in 2006. Upon retirement he was the Chief of Internal Review and Audit Compliance for the US General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
