Army Reserve Ambassador Lee James Woolley’s connection with the Army began with his father’s service as a Sherman Tank Commander in World War Two and has continued with Mr. Woolley’s attendance at the US Army War College’s National Security Seminar in 2022 and his service as a member of the Board of Directors of the Army Heritage Center Foundation, in Carlisle, PA. Lee has more than three decades of experience in leadership roles in banking, portfolio management, trust administration and strategic planning. His professional expertise is complemented by his deep passion for US national security matters.
Most recently, Lee was hired by Metallicus, a blockchain and digital assets company, as Head of Banking Strategy – to lead their efforts to acquire a bank, build a strategic plan, and become the bank’s CEO. He has served as the regional president for Northern Trust in New England and BNY Mellon in the Mid-Atlantic, covering 10 states and the District of Columbia. He has also traveled to the Soviet Union as part of his Russian language and political science studies.
Mr. Woolley continues to expand his knowledge of foreign affairs through his board activities at the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia and the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) and recently traveled to Tbilisi, Georgia to kick-off a Black Sea Security Conference for FPRI. In addition to Lee’s professional and volunteer experience, he is an accomplished coach and Masters runner having been named an All-American 12 times.
