Army Reserve Ambassador Bobby J. Ervin retired as a Colonel with 30 years of service in the United States Army and Army Reserve.  He command positions include: 3d Brigade (Combat Support), 108th Division; 6/108th Military Intelligence School; 2/108th Battalion.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College and Command and General Staff College and various other leadership and skills training courses. 

Since retiring from the Army Reserve, he actively serves on the Military Affairs Council for the Greater Fayetteville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce, of which he is a past chairman, and is a board member of various other organizations, such as the American Red Cross, United Way and Goodwill Industries.
