CSM Jeremiah Kelly was born in Georgetown, TX and enlisted in the Army in January 1996. He completed Military Police (31B) OSUT at Ft. McClellan, AL in November 1996. He currently serves as the Command Sergeant Major for the 143 Expeditionary Sustainment Command Mission Support Element.
CSM Kelly has held numerous leadership positions and served in multiple deployments to Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. CSM Kelly’s active duty assignments include the First Sergeant for the 351st Military Police Company, Bagram, Afghanistan; First Sergeant for 810th Military Police Company, Tampa, FL; various positions as Team Leader, Squad Leader, and Platoon Sergeant for several combat support tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, MP driver/gunner in Operation Joint Guard in Bosnia.
CSM Kelly’s TPU assignments included Command Sergeant Major of the 641st Regional Support Group, St Petersburg, FL.; Command Sergeant Major of the 257th Transportation Battalion, Gainesville, Fl.; Command Sergeant Major of the 332nd Transportation Battalion, Tampa, FL; acting Command Sergeant Major and HHC First Sergeant of the 3rd BN, 347th IN REGT, Orlando, FL; First Sergeant of the 351st MP CO, Ocala, FL; First Sergeant of 810th MP CO, Tampa, FL; Operations Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant of the 810th MP CO, Tampa, FL.
CSM Kelly obtained a Master’s Degree with honors from American Military University in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida in Business Administration. CSM Kelly has successfully completed the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Seniors Leaders Course, Battalion/Brigade Pre-Command Course, Company Pre-Command Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, USDA Agricultural Inspector, Customs Border Clearance Agent, Combat Lifesaver, and Military Police course.
CSM Kelly’s awards include the Bronze Star Medal (1 bronze oak leaf), Meritorious Service Medal (3 bronze oak leaf), Army Commendation Medal with Valor, Army Commendation Medal (1 bronze oak leaf), Army Achievement Medal (2 bronze oak leaves), Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (1 silver oak leaf), National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2 bronze stars), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Member, Armed Forces Reserve Medal (“M” device, numeral “2”, and silver hourglass), Army NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numeral “4”), Armed Forces Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, Air Force Achievement Medal, NATO Service Medal, NATO Service Medal (ISAF device), the Combat Action Badge, and the Drivers Wheeled Vehicle Badge.
He resides in northeast Ohio as a retired law enforcement officer with his wife Cara and three children Roman, Ryker and Ariana.
