Command Sergeant Major Kimberly Kemper enlisted in the Army Reserve, May 1983, as a Combat Telecommunications Operator (72E). She then became a Legal Specialist (71D) before she began her active duty career in 1989 as a Personnel Management Specialist (75C). Command Sergeant Major Kemper has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Liberal Arts, and a Masters of Education degree in Organizational Leadership.

Command Sergeant Major Kemper has served in all levels of command. Her first active duty assignment was at the 311th COSCOM (75C), and then she transferred to the 85th Training Division (75C); Human Resources Command (75C); 1st Simulation Group, 85th Training Division (75H); 322nd Civil Affairs Brigade (75H); United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (student); 3397th Garrison Support Unit and G3/5/7 Fort Campbell (42A); United States Sergeants Major Academy (Instructor); United States Central Command (J1 SGM); United States Army Reserve Command (Inspector General SGM); and then to her current assignment as the Commandant, Noncommissioned Officer Academy Fort Dix at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.

Command Sergeant Major Kemper is married to Sergeant Major (retired) Matthew Kemper and they have four children: PVT Megan Hines, SGT Cole Kemper, Hunter, and Jeffery.
