Command Sergeant Major Sharon R. Campbell

Command Sergeant Major

Command Sergeant Major Sharon R. Campbell entered military service from Sacramento, California in 1981.  She completed an initial four-year active duty tour and continued her service in the United States Army Reserve in TPU status.  She completed overseas mobilization tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Resolute Support and Operation Freedoms Sentinel.  She has served her country overseas with assignments in Korea, Germany, and Kuwait.  Diverse and challenging, her leadership assignments include, Command Sergeant Major, Director of Instruction, and 1SG.  She has a background in Signal, Personnel Services, Logistics, and Transportation.

 

Currently serving as the 94th Division Training Command Sergeant Major, her prior assignment was the 335th Signal Command (T)(P) Command Sergeant Major, serving in Southwest Asia.  She has served in positions of leadership and responsibility throughout her career.  Her assignments include: Brigade CSM 2nd Signal Bde, 100th DIV, Battalion CSM 6th BN, 4th BDE, 94th DIV, Battalion CSM 9th BN, 100th DIV. She served on a CO-ADOS tour as the Training Center Sergeant Major for the 80th Training Command.  She was assigned as the G1 SGM with the 311th COSCOM until deployed to Kuwait to serve as the G1 SGM at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait for the 377th Theater Support Command.  Prior to that, she served as a 1SG with the 1397th Transportation Terminal Brigade.

 

Command Sergeant Major Campbell is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeant Major Academy.  Her professional military education includes completion of training and studies in : CSM Executive Leader Course, CSM Legal Orientation Course,  the 1SG Course, ANCOC, BNCOC and PLDC, as well as training in the following Military Occupational Specialties: Personnel Administrative Specialist, Personal Records Specialist, Medical Supply Specialist, Supply Specialist, Administrative Specialist, and Radio Teletype Operator with Morse Code. 

                                                                                                 

CSM Campbell has earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration on Military Operations and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

 

Her awards and decorations include:  Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), Army Commendation Medal (3 awards), Army Achievement Medal (5 awards), Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (7 awards), Nation Defense Service Medal (w/star ), Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, (w/hourglass and M device), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (w/4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon , Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon and the Expert  Marksmanship Badge.

 

A Supervisory Military Personnel Specialist for the 63rd RSC, CSM Campbell resides in Sacramento, California.
