Mr. Standiford was assigned as the Command Executive Officer (CXO), 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support) in July 2014 at Fort Douglas, Utah. Prior to becoming the CXO he held was the Human Resources Officer/Deputy G-1, 7th Civil Support Command in Kaiserslautern, Germany from December 2009 to July 2014.
As the Command Executive Officer, Mr. Standiford provides executive leadership, management, influence and oversight of plans, programs, and policies in the transformation process within the 807th Medical Command. He also coordinates management of the unit’s Current Operations, Information Management, Readiness (Training, Logistics, and Personnel), Resource Integration, Structure, Manpower, and EEO programs.
Mr. Standiford began his military career when he entered Active Duty as an Administrative Specialist in 1986 with the Academy of Health Sciences in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Upon release from Active Duty, Mr. Standiford's first civilian assignment with the Army Reserve was as a Unit Administrator with the 368th Military Intelligence Battalion in Tumwater, Washington. Mr. Standiford has held several civilian positions, including most recently, the Human Resources Officer for the 75th Training Division 2007 to 2009 and Human Resources Specialist for the United States Army Reserve Command from 2004 to 2007.
Mr. Standiford has completed numerous civilian education courses, including the Army Management Staff College Civilian Advanced and Intermediate Courses. In addition, Mr. Standiford has completed the Lean Six Sigma Project Management Workshop, the Labor Relations Course, and the EEO Counselor courses. Throughout his career, Mr. Standiford has received numerous significant accomplishment and special act awards. He has received the Superior Civilian Service Award on two separate occasions and the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.
Mr. Standiford is married to his wife, Deborah. They have an 11 year-old daughter named Avery. In addition, they have three adult children, Jason, Cody, and Tawnya.
