CW5 Schriver was born in Chambersburg Pennsylvania and traveled extensively with his father an Army retiree. He graduated from Waynesboro Area High School, Pennsylvania and was appointed a Warrant officer at Fort Rucker, Alabama on March 3, 1995.
CW5 Schriver began his career in 1975 at Fort Riley, Kansas where he served as an Armored Crewman with the 4Bn/63 Armor, 1st Infantry Division. He then went to Gelenhausen, Germany to serve as a Tank Commander with the 1Bn/33 Armor, 3rd Armor Division. After discharge from active duty he became a member of the United States Army Reserve. He has served as Platoon SGT, Maintenance Control Inspector, Maintenance Control NCOIC, Shop Officer, Safety and Maintenance Officer in various Maintenance Company’s and Detachment Commander with the 630th Transportation Company in Washington, Pennsylvania.
CW5 Schriver was mobilized from April 2004 to May 2006 in support of OIF operations. During this time he developed Mobile Electric Power (MEP) rebuild capabilities for Letterkenny Army Depot. Upon his departure the Power Generation Shops to include the Aviation Ground Power Units from PM AGSE created $55 Million in yearly business and was certified by the Secretary of the Army as the Center of Technical Excellence (CITX) for MEP. He was recently mobilized as the Letterkenny Army Depot FMS forward for Iraq and Kuwait to coordinate vehicle shipments for maintenance to LEAD forward supported organizations in Kuwait or returns to LEAD, including battle damage, cyclic maintenance, and draw down equipment.
CW5 Schriver most recent assignment was with the United States Army Reserve Sustainment Command in Birmingham, Alabama where he provided technical guidance for Depot Commanders to plan, organize, and execute maintenance in support of complex electronic systems. This included the establishment and operation of DOM (Director of Maintenance) field repairs, all maintenance related operations both US and Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and coordinated maintenance missions with the Depot and higher commands as required. He currently serves as the Command Chief Warrant Officer (CCWO) for the 80th Training Command in Richmond, VA.
CW5 Schriver is a graduate of the Warrant Office Basic Course, Advanced Course, Warrant Officer Career College Staff Course, and Warrant Officer Senior Service Education Course. His awards include the Army Commendation Medal (6OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3OLC/M), National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (6), Armed Forces Reserve Medal (3), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Overseas Training Ribbon (6), Excellence in Competition Bronze Medal Pistol, Excellence in Competition Bronze Medal Rifle.
A Warrior Citizen, CW5 Schriver currently is the Technical Services Branch Chief, Electronics & Missile with the Theater Readiness Monitoring Directorate (TRMD), Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA, responsible for Quality Assurance, Calibration Laboratory, Automated Data Processing (Facility IT Network), Technical Publications and all LEAN Six Sigma Operations at the Patriot Missile Operations Facility.
