Brigadier General Lisa L. Doumont

Medical Readiness and Training Command

Brigadier General Lisa Doumont, a Youngstown, Ohio native, is a distinguished military graduate of the Old Dominion University Reserve Officer Training Corps. Upon graduation, she received a Regular Army commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps.

While on active duty, BG Doumont served in various leadership and staff positions before joining the United States Army Reserve in 1993. Since joining the Army Reserve, she has served in various positions in Ohio, Virginia and Pennsylvania, commanding at the company, battalion and brigade level.

Her previous assignments include the J9 Director for the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command in Norfolk, Virginia; commander for Detachment 7, 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) Operational Command Post (Forward) which deployed to Kuwait as the medical enabling command for U.S. Central Command in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve; and she served as the Assistant Surgeon General – Mobilization, Readiness & Reserve Affairs at the Office of the Surgeon General in Falls Church, Virginia, while serving as the Deputy Commanding General for Army Reserve Medical Command in Pinellas Park, Florida.

BG Doumont is currently assigned as the Commanding General for Medical Readiness and Training Command in Joint Base San Antonio, Texas.

BG Doumont earned her Bachelors of Science Degrees from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in the fields of Biology in 1988, and Nursing in 1995. Additionally, BG Doumont earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Old Dominion University in 2005, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 2010. Currently, she is in her second year of Doctoral studies in Organizational Leadership at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.

BG Doumont’s military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medals, the Kosovo Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star and the Expert Field Medical Badge.

In 2014, BG Doumont earned the prestigious U.S. Army Medical Department 9A proficiency designator for mastery of military medical management. In 2011, BG Doumont was inducted into the Army Medical Department “Order of Military Medical Merit” in recognition of her career-long contributions to the Army Medical Department.
