CSM Donald E. Langworthy II enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1981 and has 33 years of continuous service.
CSM Langworthy is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Pennsylvania Army National Guard NCO Academy (1SG), United States Army JFK Special Warfare Center and School (96F (37F), Basic and Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Courses, Basic and Advanced Airborne School, Defense Language Institute (Polish), United States Army Intelligence Center (97E) and the United States Army Military Police School (95B).
While on active duty he deployed to Operations Desert Storm, Desert Shield and Provide Comfort as the PSYOP detachment sergeant supporting 5th Special Forces Group (A).
CSM Langworthy has a Bachelors of Science in Cellular Biology from Methodist College in North Carolina and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Miami University in Ohio.
He is currently employed as the North American Regional Leader in Procter and Gamble’s Global Microbiology Organization with responsibilities for supporting 77 manufacturing sites in North America and is an Adjunct Professor of Microbiology at Miami University.
CSM Langworthy has earned two Bronze Star Medals, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal 3 OLC, the Army Achievement Medal 4 OLC, the Southwest Asia Service Medal for the Defense of Saudi Arabia, Liberation of Kuwait and Operation Provide Comfort Campaigns, the Iraqi Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the Combat Action Badge, the Master Parachutist Badge, and other ribbons and awards.
CSM Langworthy has been married to his wife for 31 years. They have one married son.
