Brigadier General Troiano
was commissioned in the Regular Army in Military Intelligence (MI) from the ROTC Program at Seton Hall University in 1986. Brigadier General Troiano has successfully held command and staff positions at every level.

After completion of the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course in 1987, he was assigned to the 1st Calvary Division in Fort Hood, Texas where he served as a Collection and Jamming Platoon Leader and Armor Battalion S2. In 1992, he transferred to the Army Reserve.

While in the Army Reserve, Brigadier General Troiano has served as a Technical Control and Analysis Chief (TCAE), Company Commander, Battalion S3, and Collection Management Officer with the 325th MI Battalion located in East Windsor, Connecticut. He also served as an Expert Observer/Trainer for Intelligence with the 2nd Simulation Exercise Group, 78th Division in Bristol, Rhode Island.

In September 2001, Brigadier General Troiano was deployed with the 29th Infantry Division in Bosnia on SFOR 10 as the Division Collection Manager. He returned to the US in April 2002 and completed tours as a Project Officer and Director of Enlisted Course Instruction for the 6th BN, 98th Division (IT). He deployed under Operation Iraqi Freedom from February 2003 to January 2004 as the Executive Officer for the 325th Military Intelligence Battalion. Upon his return he relocated to Virginia where he served as a Strategic Debriefing Detachment OIC and the Deputy G3 for the MIRC. From 2006-2007, Brigadier General Troiano was called to active duty and assigned as the first Deputy Commander for the Combat Support Agency Support Command (CSASC). He was then assigned as the Commander for Detachment 2, 3300 Strategic Intelligence Group, and then as EUCOM ARE J2 JRISE Director. In 2011, Brigadier General Troiano was assigned as the Chief of Intelligence, J2, Kosovo Forces in Pristina, Kosovo. Upon his return from Kosovo, he was assigned as the Commander of the CSASC from Dec 2011-Mar 2013.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Iraq Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, Kosovo Campaign Medal, NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, and the Knowlton Award. Brigadier General Troiano holds a BS in Business Administration from Seton Hall University, MA in Forensic Psychology from Argyosy University, an MSS from Army War College.

His military education includes the Airborne Course, Military Intelligence Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College, Defense Strategic Debriefer Course, Tactical Commanders Development Course, BN/BDE Pre-Command Course, and the Army War College. Brigadier General Troiano is married with four children.
