Colonel Crystal McCarter is an Army Logistics Officer, commissioned as an Army Nurse in 2000 after graduating from Clemson University, SC, and a subsequent commission as a Quartermaster Officer in 2001.
COL McCarter assumed her duties as the Chief of Staff, 95th Training Division on 1 June 2025. She is also a Command Strategic Planner for the Headquarters, Army Materiel Command (HQAMC) Commander’s Initiatives Group (CIG). Her previous Reserve assignments include duties as the 518th Sustainment Brigade Commander; Assistant Chief of Staff, G4, 200th Military Police Command; 3rd Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) Support Battalion Commander, 401st Army Field Support Brigade in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; U.S. Central Command Operations Division Chief and Divestiture Operations Officer for HQAMC; and the Brigade S1/Adjutant, Army Materiel Command, Army Reserve Element (AMC-ARE). Her previous Active Duty assignments include duties as the Forward Distribution Company and Brigade Maintenance Observer Coach/Trainer, Goldminer Team, Operations Group at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA; Company Commander, Headquarters Company, 1st Support Battalion, Multinational Force and Observers; Battalion S-4 and Forward Operating Base Mayor, 4th Brigade Support Battalion (BSB), 4th Infantry Division (4ID), Tikrit, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; and Executive Officer and Supply and Transportation Platoon Leader for the Headquarters Company, 4th BSB, 4th ID at Fort Hood, TX.
COL McCarter holds a Master’s Degree in Military Strategic Studies, Superior Graduate, from the U.S. Army War College, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing through the Clemson University Reserve Officer Training Corps program. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officers’ Course, Advanced Operations Course, Common Core Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Logistics Technology Supply Chain Management Course, Cost Management Certification Course, Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Contracting Officers Representative Course, and Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt Course.
