Col. Dena R. Goble

Chief of Staff, 200th Military Police Command

COL Dena R. Goble grew up in rural Kansas and enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1987. She served over 17 years as an enlisted Soldier, where she fulfilled multiple NCO leadership roles, to include as a Military Police (MP) instructor, acting Operations Sergeant Major for the 924th MP BN, and culminating as the First Sergeant of the 346th MP Co. In 2005, she received a direct commission as a Military Police Officer, then in 2013 she also completed the Civil Affairs Qualification Course.
     COL Goble mobilized three times while enlisted, to include a deployment to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Operation Noble Eagle, and has mobilized and deployed three times as an officer. As an MP officer, COL Goble deployed to Camp Bucca, Iraq as a Company Commander in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and to Fort McCoy, WI as a Battalion Commander in support of Operation Allies Welcome. As a Civil Affairs officer, she deployed as the Civil Liaison Team Chief to Jordan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Her other assignments have included serving as an Aide de Camp, a Joint Exercise Planner, Company Commander of the HHC 437th CA BN, Executive Officer of the 437th CA BN, Deputy Commanding Officer of the 354th CA BDE, Brigade Commander of the 354th CA BDE, Battalion Commander of the 530th MP BN, Brigade Commander of the 333d MP BDE, and currently the Chief of Staff of the 200th Military Police Command.
     COL Goble’s military education includes Command and General Staff College, the Naval Post-Graduate School’s Security, Stability and Development in Complex Operations Program, the Defense Strategy Course, the Senior Manager Course in National Security Leadership, and the U.S. Army War College. She holds B.S. degrees in both Human Nutrition and Kinesiology from Kansas State University, a M.S. in Leadership Studies from Southwestern College, and a Masters of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. As a member of the Reserve Organization of America, she was elected as the National Junior Vice President for the Army Section, where she served as the voice for Army Reserve junior officers, advising on issues to shape military policies underlying national defense.
     COL Goble’s awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (6 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), and the Army Achievement Medal (6 OLC). Among various other decorations, she earned the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency in Gold. She has been recognized by the Military Police Regimental Association with the Order of the Marachausse and the Civil Affairs Regimental Association with the General Winfield Scott Medallion for her exceptional dedication, competence, and contributions to the Regiments of the Military Police Corps and Civil Affairs Corps, respectively.
     COL Goble lives in Williamsburg, Virgina with her wife Betsy where they enjoy hiking and camping with their German Shepherd Dog Mustafa and German Shepherd mix Bentley.
