Brig. Gen. Kimberly Hamilton

Deputy Commanding General–Cyber, 335th Signal Command (Theater)

Brig. Gen. Kimberly Hamilton is the 335th Signal Command (Theater) Deputy Commanding General for the Cyber Reserve force. She oversees the planning, coordination, and synchronization necessary to ensure that Reserve cyber forces are fully resourced for training and seamlessly integrated into U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) and U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM) campaign and operational plans.

Commissioned through the Army ROTC program at Norwich University Military College of Vermont in 1996, BG Hamilton has built a distinguished career through a variety of challenging assignments in both active duty and reserve components. Her early active duty assignments with the 11th Signal Brigade at Fort Huachuca, AZ, included roles as an Executive Officer, Transmission Platoon Leader, Assistant Battalion S3, and Brigade S3 Training Officer. She later commanded the 1st Satellite Control Battalion at Schriever AFB, Colorado, and served as the U.S. Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) G6 Plans and Exercise Officer. In 2006, BG Hamilton deployed as the J6, Director of Communications, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines.

Transitioning to the U.S. Army Reserve in 2007, BG Hamilton continued to excel in her signal career field, serving as the G3 Plans and Exercise Officer with the 311th Theater Signal Command at Fort Meade, Maryland. In 2009, she broadened her experience, serving as the 2-398th Cavalry Squadron S3 Operations Officer in Madisonville, Kentucky. She further contributed to the development of future leaders by teaching intermediate level education for the Army Reserve at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. BG Hamilton then commanded the 2-337th Tactical Support Battalion, 157th Infantry Brigade, in Waterford, Michigan. Following her command assignment, she served as the Joint Planner and Chief of Land Operations in the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), mobilizing to support U.S. Army Northern Command’s Southwest Border Mission in San Antonio, TX. Before assuming her current role, BG Hamilton commanded the 207th Digital Liaison Detachment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and served as the Deputy Commander of the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, USTRANSCOM from July 2022 to July 2025, integrating Joint Active, Reserve, and Air National Guard personnel to support Combatant Commands.

BG Hamilton holds a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, an M.S. Degree in Information Technology Management from Webster University, and an M.S. Degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. Her military education includes the Joint Forces Combined Warfare School, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, the Combined Arms Services Staff School, and the Signal Captains Basic and Advanced courses. Her decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), the Joint Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (four awards), and the Army Achievement Medal (five awards).
