Command Sergeant Major Javier Camposano Jr. serves as the Command Sergeant Major for the 103D Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) located in Des Moines, Iowa. He serves as the senior enlisted advisor to the Commanding General on all enlisted Soldier matters, particularly the areas affecting readiness, training, safety, leader development, and Army Families. He also carries out policies and standards on performance, training, appearance, and conduct of Soldiers.
CSM Camposano has demonstrated continued dedication and loyalty to Soldiers throughout his military career by serving in positions of increased responsibility and leadership. He served as the Rear DET CSM of the 364th ESC, CSM of the 96th Sustainment Brigade, CSM of the 2nd Brigade 91st Training Division, CSM of the 3rd Brigade Pacific Division, and CSM of the 155 Combat Sustainment Support Battalion.
Command Sergeant Major Camposano’s tours and deployments include deploying with the 408th Personnel Support Battalion in 2003, five tours as a Senior Observer Controller Trainer with 1st Brigade Pacific Division responsible for providing mentorship, training, and validating mobilizing units.
Command Sergeant Major Camposano attended Basic Training and AIT at Fort Jackson, SC in 1998. CSM Camposano is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 43 non-resident). Advance Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Brigade Pre-Command Course, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education Course I and II, Structured Self Development V, Distributed Leaders Course VI, Battle Staff and Instructor Course.
CSM Camposano’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal (Silver Hour Glass, “M” device), Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (with numeral 5), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Expert Pistol Badge.
In his civilian life, he is an Operation Manager for Target Distribution. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources.
