Brig. Gen. John P. Stanley

Commanding General, 7th Mission Support Command

Brigadier General Stanley previously served as the Deputy Commanding General of the 75th United States Army Reserve Innovation Command, Houston Texas where he was charged with responsibility to develop, integrate, and lead the primary staff of a two Star headquarters, two innovation brigades, four innovation battalions to accelerate capability development within the Army Reserve through persistent experimentation by, with and through partners across the transformation enterprise.

Brigadier General Stanley graduated from Florida Southern College, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was commissioned as an Air Defense Officer in the United States Army. He earned a Master of Science degree with Honors, in Project Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College. BG Stanley originates from Auburndale, Florida.

Brigadier General Stanley has served in a variety of command and staff positions over his military career. After transitioning to Logistics in the Army Reserve, he served as Commander, 55th Sustainment Brigade, Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Other Army Reserve assignments includes: Director of Innovation Support Operations, 75th Innovation Command, Houston, Texas; Commander of the 757 Expeditionary Rail Center, St. Louis, Missouri; G3/5/7, Deployment Support Command, Birmingham, Alabama; Force Management Officer, Deployment Support Command, Birmingham, Alabama; Commander, 1182d Distribution and Deployment Support Battalion, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina; S3, 1189th Transportation Brigade, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina; Air Defense Artillery CINC Liaison Officer, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff G-8, Headquarters Department of the Army, Washington, DC; Chief of Mobilization, Installation Management Command, Fort Stewart, Georgia; Assistant Professor of Military Science, 4th Battalion, 415th Regiment, 108th Division, West Hartford, Connecticut; His active-duty assignments include Stinger Platoon Leader, Bradley Stinger Fighting Vehicle Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Battalion Assistant Operations Officer, and Battalion S1. Deployment includes: Team Leader, Military Transition Team, Multi-National Security Transition Command – Iraq, OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, Iraq.
