Command Sergeant Major Corey A. Thompson assumed duties as the 99th Readiness Division Command sergeant Major on 18 October 2024.
CSM Corey A. Thompson was born in Rochester, New York and enlisted in the United States Army in August 1989. He completed One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Knox, Kentucky and was awarded MOS 19K, Armor Crewman. He served nine years in the active component. In 1998 CSM Thompson transitioned to the United States Army Reserve where he reclassified to MOS 12B, Combat Engineer. In 2007 CSM Thompson entered the Active Guard Reserve Program (AGR), US Army Reserve.

CSM Thompson is married to Takila Thompson they have four Sons Randy, Travon ,Corey and Camren.
