Brigadier General Kristina J. Green is currently serving as the Commanding General of the 104th Training Division (Leader Development) in Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington. Prior to this assignment, she served in the Joint Staff J35 Emergent Sourcing Branch in Norfolk, Virginia.
Brigadier General Kristina J. Green is a Distinguished Military Graduate from Purdue University ROTC and received her commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Military Intelligence Corps in 1998. Following completion of the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course, she was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division (LI) where she deployed with the Division in support of Operation JOINT FORGE in Tuzla, Bosnia and NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) in Gnjilane, Kosovo. She also participated in the foundational Joint DOD Exercise Millennium Challenge in 2002.
Her previous command tenures include Brigade Commander of the Military Intelligence Readiness Command, Training Support Command in Fort Belvoir, VA, Detachment Commander, Detachment 2, 2200th Military Intelligence Group, and Platoon Leader, Delta Company, 110th Military Intelligence Battalion, 10th Mountain Division (LI). Her staff assignments include Battalion S2, 10th Signal Battalion, 10th Mountain Division (LI), Fort Drum, NY; Division Intelligence Targeting Officer, 10th Mountain Division (LI); Senior Instructor, 1st Battalion, 138th Regiment, Indiana Army National Guard; Strategic Intelligence Officer and Operations Officer, Detachment 2, 2200th Military Intelligence Group in Mattydale, New York; Brigade S3, 1st Brigade (MI), 100th Training Division, 80th Training Command in Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Joint Intelligence Support Officer, Joint Enabling Capability Command (JECC) in Norfolk, VA; and two tours at the Joint Staff, one as the Military Secretariat, Joint Staff Joint Force Development Directorate (J7) in Suffolk, VA and the other in the Joint Staff Operations J35 South in Norfolk, VA.
Brigadier General Green’s military awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with one bronze oak leaf cluster, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, two NATO Medals, Kosovo Campaign Medal, and the Knowlton Award.
Brigadier General Green is married and has one daughter.
