Sgt. Maj. William J. Angelo was born in Litchfield, Illinois and enlisted in the United States Army on 23 July 1998 as a 31B-Military Police Officer. He attended One Station Unit Training (Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training) at Fort McClellan, Alabama.
Sgt. Maj. Angelo has served as a Military Police Officer, Correction Officer, Chief Instructor at the 83rd Army Reserve Readiness Training Center's (ARRTC) Regional Training Academy (RTA), Operation Sergeant Major at the 290th MP BDE, USAMPS USAR SGM at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and current assignment is at the ARRTC as the RTA SGM.
Sgt. Maj. Angelo stateside assignments include Fort Wayne, Indiana, Fort Moore, Georgia, Raleigh, North Carolina, Jackson, Michigan, RTA at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Nashville, TN and Ft. Angelo deployment includes Cuba from February 2003 thru May 2004 where he served as a Block NCO for the Special Housing Unit and Camp Cropper, Iraq where he served as the Tactical Operation Center NCOIC from May 2007 through May 2008.
