1SG Cory Gray joined the Army in September 1999 as a Geodetic Surveyor. She deployed to Iraq (2004) as a Topographical Surveyor and Afghanistan (2008) as a Terrain Analyst. In 2007, she reclassed to become a 68W. While serving as an AGR medic, she has served in the following leadership positions: the operations NCOIC the 801st Combat Support Hospital; Senior Instructor and Course Manager with the 80th Training Command assisting the 4th BDE, 100th DIV; 68 Series Career Manager at HRC, Operations NCOIC for the 820 Hospital Center and 1SG of NCOA Parks.
Her military education includes Basic Geodetic Survey course, Primary Leadership Development course, Health Care Specialist course, Commanders Fitness course, Unit Victim Advocate course, Unit Prevention Leaders course, Equal Opportunity Representative course, Combat Terrain Information System course, Advance Leadership course (phase 1-3), Senior Leadership course, Unit Trainer course , USAR Training Management CRS (TMC), Master Resilience Trainer course, Army Basic Instructor course, Small Group Instruction, SEJPME PH 1&2; Air Assault; Company Commander First Sergeant course; Master Leader course; Unit Movement Officer Deployment Planner; DLC Level 5, and Battle Staff NCO course.
Her civilian education includes Associate in general studies from Central Texas College, Bachelor of Science in Health Care ADMIN/ with a concentration in EMS Management and Master of Science Organizational Leadership both from Columbia Southern University, and the Project Management Course.
1SG Gray’s awards and decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), Army Commendation Medal (9th Award), Army Achievement Medal (6th award), Good Conduct Medal (4nd award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with Bronze Star Device, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device, Noncommission Officer Professional Development Ribbon (5), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, GAFB and is a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy club.
Additionally, 1SG Gray is a licensed “A” skydiver and active member of the Calvary Tri Valley Church.
