Col. Alexia N. Fields

Commander, 3rd Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary)

COL Fields currently serves as Commander, 3rd Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Previous to her current assignment, COL Fields served as Director, Command Post (Forward, 377th Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) in Belle Chasse, LA. The 377th TSC was mobilized in support of Army North at Joint Base San Antonio – Fort Sam Houston, TX.

COL Fields attended resident Army War College in Carlisle, PA where she graduated in June 2020. She has deployed twice to the Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility: first as company commander for the 148th Quartermaster Company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom then as Logistics Operations Officer to the Chief of Staff, G4, United States Army Central (USARCENT).

COL Fields entered active duty upon her graduation and commissioning from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2002, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in International History. Her other civilian education is comprised of a Master of Science in General Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College. Her military education includes Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Support Operations Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Intermediate Level Education (Core Course and Advanced Operations Course), Joint and Combined Warfighting School – Hybrid, and the Army War College. She has also completed the Lean Six Sigma course.

COL Fields’ assignments prior to being assigned to the 377th TSC are: Battalion Commander, 8/80th Quartermaster Battalion and Deputy Commander, 1st Brigade (Quartermaster), 94th Training Division (Force Sustainment); Deputy G4, United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne); Battalion Executive Officer, 518th Special Troops Battalion; Secretary to the General Staff and Protocol Officer, 80th Training Command; Battle Captain/ Logistics Operations Officer, G4, United States Army Central (USARCENT) (Deployed); Secretary to the General Staff, 80th Training Command; Plans Officer, 300th Area Support Group; Company Commander, 148th Quartermaster Company, with deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; Assistant S3, 49th Quartermaster Group; Platoon Leader, 348th Quartermaster Company (Camp Humphreys, South Korea); Executive Officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Squadron/6th Cavalry Regiment; and Platoon Leader, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop of an AH-64D Longbow Air Cavalry Squadron.

COL Field’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal (two campaign stars); the Korean Defense Medal; Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device. She was awarded the Order of Saint Martin by the Quartermaster Corps Regimental Association in March 2011.

COL Fields is married to MAJ Bobby L. Fields, Jr. They have three children, Bobby III, Thomas Lee, and Elizabeth Judith. They reside in Williamsburg, Virginia.
