Brig. Gen. Kirk P. Dailey

Deputy Commanding General - Support, 88th Readiness Division

Brig. Gen. Kirk Dailey graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering & Management in 1991 and earned a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Management from the University of Louisville in 2000. He enlisted in the Army Reserve 1990 and received a direct commission to Second Lieutenant in 1995.

Brig. Gen. Dailey has served in command and staff leadership positions at all levels of the Army to include Platoon Leader - 394th Engineer Company & 611th Engineer Company; Civil Engineer, Fort Knox Facility Engineer Team, 416th Engineer Command; Commander - HHD, 373d Quartermaster Battalion and then 125th Transportation Company.  He deployed with the 375th Transportation Group to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait as the S-5.  BG Dailey then served as Contracting Officer with the 21st Theater Support Command and later as XO - 915th Contingency Contracting Battalion.  He deployed with the 412th Theater Engineer Command (TEC) to HQs, US Forces-Afghanistan, Joint Engineer Directorate.  His subsequent positions included Commander - 2-340th Training Support Battalion; Deputy G-9 then G-2, 416th TEC; Commander - 648th Regional Support Group; Chief of Staff then Deputy Commander, 100th Training Division.  His first General Officer position was Deputy Commanding General, 416th TEC, and his most recent position was Director of Operations, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9, Headquarters Department of the Army.

His military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and Army Staff Identification Badge.

In his civilian career, he serves as Construction Division Chief in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District.

Brig. Gen. Dailey is married to Michelle, and they have five adult children.
