CSM Dean is a native of Las Vegas, NV. She enlisted in the Army in October 2000 as a Chaplain Assistant, MOS 56M. She completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, SC.
Prior to assuming responsibility of the 91st Training Division, CSM Dean’s previously served in a number of leadership and key staff assignments including: Command Sergeant Major, 1394th Transportation Surface Brigade, Camp Pendleton, CA; Command Sergeant Major, 1 Battalion, 415th Regiment, Phoenix, AZ; Operations Sergeant Major, 1394th Transportation Surface Brigade, Camp Pendleton, CA; Sr. Movement NCO, 9th Mission Support Command, Fort Shafter, HI; Course Manager, 7th Battalion, 104th Regiment, Bell, CA; First Sergeant, 257th Transportation Company (HET), Las Vegas, NV; First Sergeant, 63rd Brigade Support Battalion, Las Vegas, NV; Staff Movement NCO, 650th Regional Support Group, Las Vegas, NV; Drill Sergeant, D Co, 1st Battalion, 415th Regiment, Las Vegas, NV.
Her mobilizations and deployments include a 12-month to Kabul, Afghanistan from 2010-2011 as a Logistics Advisor to the Afghanistan National Army, a two-year CONUS mobilization from 2006-2008, and a 15-month deployment to Baghdad, Iraq from 2003-2004.
CSM Dean’s military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System, the Battalion/Brigade Pre-command Course, the Reserve Component National Security Course, the Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education I and II, Battle Staff NCO Course, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Theater Sustainment Course and the United States Army Drill Sergeant School. She graduated with superior academic achievement from United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. CSM Dean has a Bachelor of Arts in Business from American Military University, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from the University of Massachusetts Global.
